Clermont, FL, April 2, 2020 – The South Lake Church of Christ will be moving their worship service to online for the May 3, 2020. Following Florida Governor Ron Desantis’ executive order of adherence to guidelines of “30 Days to Slow the Spread” urging Americans to maintain social distancing, this includes no mass gatherings in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). We will continue to monitor the situation week by week and hope to begin our Sunday services at our facility.
The South Lake Church of Christ is a Non-Denominational church. This is important because we believe in the Bible and making every effort to follow the teachings of Jesus. The South Lake Church of Christ is part of the International Churches of Christ.
So what does this mean and what’s in it for you? Our church is a family. We actually get to know each other on a deeper level and spend a lot of time together doing fun stuff as well as spiritual activities. Family is important and everyone wants to feel like they belong somewhere on a deeper level.
Matthew 22:36-39 | New International Version (NIV) 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]
